VA Support Rooted in Purpose and Partnership

Hi, I’m Heather, a Virtual Assistant based in the UK. I team up with human-led business owners to help them get organised, streamline their processes, and nurture their personal and professional growth in an authentic way. Drawing on my therapeutic coaching training, I weave compassion, active listening, and meaningful guidance into my support, truly holding space for you as we navigate your unique challenges and goals.

This includes working with business owners who feel lost in their sense of self-worth or identity in their business, those overwhelmed by wearing too many hats and struggling to think straight, and those who feel disconnected from their ideal client and unsure how to attract them. Together, we create the breathing space you need to regain clarity and align your business with your values.

My mission isn’t just to help you manage your business - it’s to empower you to run it with confidence and clarity, no matter what stage of life or business you’re in.

I am deeply grateful for the incredible support and guidance provided by Heather over the last 6-months. As a psychotherapist navigating the challenges of rebranding, launching a new website and creating my own resources, I found Heather’s thoughtful approach, attention to detail and encouragement transformed what felt overwhelming into an inspiring and enjoyable process. Thanks to Heather’s skills and insight, I now have a brand and new resources that truly reflect my vision and values. I highly recommend Heather to anyone seeking a reliable, creative and compassionate partner in their journey.

I am registered as a support worker with the UK Government’s Access to Work Scheme.

Not sure what I’m on about?

Access to Work is a wonderful program backed by public funding, dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities in their journey to enter or remain in the workforce. It's here to lend a hand, both practically and financially, to those facing physical or mental health challenges. With an Access to Work grant, you can get the assistance you need to kickstart your career with confidence.

Feeling lost? I'm here to help you rediscover your groove.

Lost that excitement you had when you dreamed of starting your business?

Feel like the day-to-day tasks are getting in the way of your creative mojo?

Let's get together!

My aim is to make your business vibe with who you really are and what you stand for, and you can’t let anything get in the way of that!

I want to help you rediscover the joy of connection and collaboration by working together to achieve your professional (and personal) goals.

There's something special about collaborating with someone who shares your passion and vision, and I thrive on that energy and hope you do to!

I consider myself to have an anti-hustle approach. “Hustle” is a word we’ve used to death, but forgive me…it’s the best one I have to explain my approach! We have been caught up in it, and it is time to reflect on how living like that has impacted your health and wellbeing. That’s why I refer to the ‘anti-hustle’ - a way of pushing back against this culture and giving it the middle finger. I like to help people wave bye-bye to the false urgency we feel, and make room for thoughts, reflections and cyclical living (where possible, of course!).

I know the thought of letting someone new in to your world is a bit scary, but that’s why I’ve published my client testimonials - to show you the difference we can make when we team up!

I don’t expect you to be able to make a decision about hiring me right now. That’s why I offer a free 30-minute call, so bring your questions and let’s see how we get on. Oh, and I don’t have it in me to BS you - if I can’t do the things you need from me - I’ll tell you! I’ve been around long enough to know that nothing good ever happens from taking on work which isn’t a good fit.

What areas do I cover?

I am based near Portsmouth in Hampshire (UK), and have clients all over the Country - Cheshire, Wales, West Midlands, Sussex, Surrey, Dorset and Devon!

I offer a flexible approach to support that values both online and in-person connections. While my primary services are conducted virtually, I recognise the importance of personal interactions. I meet with clients face-to-face to gain a deeper understanding of their needs and build strong, collaborative relationships. Additionally, I actively participate in coworking events, creating opportunities for networking and skill-sharing amongst like-minded ethical business owners and solopreneurs.

This blend of online and in-person work allows for a comprehensive support experience that aligns with your values and enhances your business journey.

My Core Business Values

  • Authenticity

I believe that the power of being our true, unapologetic, imperfect selves, is what allows us to connect on the deepest level with the right people. How do I remain authentic? I don't take on work which makes me feel ick; I am open and honest with clients and prospective clients; I limit my screen time so I don't fall into comparison traps; and I check in with myself often.

I value authenticity in my clients too.

  • Integrity

I deeply value integrity, in work + life. Ethical business practice is important to me, so I can't work with people who don’t value this. I’m committed to being authentic, transparent, and respectful in all interactions. I create a trustworthy and positive environment for everyone I work with.

  • Compassion

I like to offer / be offered a supportive environment where mutual respect and understanding for the human being behind the business allows us to thrive. I genuinely care for my clients' well-being. I listen attentively, offer support, and approach every situation with empathy. By understanding their needs and challenges, I can provide thoughtful solutions that respect their unique circumstances.

  • Inclusivity

I am committed to making sure everyone feels welcome, respected, and heard, tailoring my services to meet diverse needs. By cultivating an inclusive environment, I aim to create a space where all clients can thrive, regardless of their background or identity.

“Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.”

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Well, in basic terms - a VA is a remote-based person who helps other people run their business by performing tasks for them (social media content creation, creating websites, managing calendars and emails, planning events, etc.). The things that keep businesses ticking over.

But, in my terms - I consider the role of a VA to be so much more. Yes, it’s about the day-to-day business stuff, but I believe it’s also about supporting the human(s) behind the business to feel less alone, to feel truly supported, and feel less overwhelmed.

My take is going to be different to a lot of other VAs out there; probably because of my therapeutic coaching background, maybe because I am in my 40s and m in my ‘soft-girl era’.

You may not need a VA, but you may find life much calmer with the right one by your side.

  • It's a free online call to meet and 'discover' if we vibe. You can bring your questions and we'll discuss your VA support needs, and how / if I can help you.

Feel free to book a call here or if you’re fairly local I’d be happy to meet you for a coffee :)

  • I took this answer straight from the oxford online dictionary as it's easier that way...

"a fee paid in advance to someone, in order to secure their services for use when required."

So, basically - it's a way of guaranteeing my time for you when you need it.

  • Yes, I am insured with Simply Business and I would be happy to provide you with my certificate.

  • Thanks for asking! VA support rates are:

    • 10-hour monthly retainer: £300

      20-hour monthly retainer: £580

    • 30-hour retainer: £840

    • 40-hour retainer: £1080

    • Hourly rate: £32

other rates available for bespoke projects - find out more here

  • Great question!

I don’t offer refunds for unused retainer hours as you pay those to guarantee my time for you.

If you don’t feel that I have met your expectations please let me know and allow me to make it right. You can email me hello@virtualheather.com

  • Yes, I am both Data Data Processor and Data Controller.
You can read my privacy policy here and contact me with any questions you have: hello@virtualheather.com

  • Honestly? None! Well, some GCSEs and an NVQ back in the late 90s.

Due to a not-so-wonderful start in life, I have been working full time since I was 16 years old - I have built my own skill set through actively working. I have never failed at a job, and always excelled at any task I was given. My last role was in clinical project management for a pharmaceutical R&D company - not a job for the faint hearted!

I am self-taught at most things and I believe that to be just as valuable!
Qualifications don't tell you about a person, the persons experience and character does.
