Want to be a VA? Let’s look at ways I can help you get started.

Being a VA can open up a different kind of lifestyle, allowing you to have more flexibility and control over your time.

Whether you've decided to start this new career because you want to travel more, spend more time with your friends and family, or simply have a better work-life balance, becoming a VA is a great option.

As a VA, you will have the opportunity to work with clients from various industries and backgrounds. From entrepreneurs to small businesses to executives, the range of clients you can work with is vast. This not only provides you with a diverse set of tasks and projects, but it also allows you to expand your knowledge and skills in different areas.

One of the best aspects of being a VA is the ability to connect with like-minded people and build a community. You'll have the chance to collaborate with people who share your values and goals, making your work more enjoyable and fulfilling. Building these connections can also lead to long-term professional relationships and potential referrals.

There’s no denying that building a business can be tough, but don’t worry - I’ve got your back! I've gained valuable insights that I'm eager to share!

It’s really important to look at what skills you have, but also to think about what you enjoy doing! There’s no point starting a business where you’re giving yourself jobs you hate - your clients will feel that energy and you’ll resist firing up your laptop because it feels too much of a chore!

I’d like to give you a head start based on the things I wish I’d known when I started, that’s why I am offering my time to be your Mentor. Learn from someone who has been where you are now.

Sure, you can buy a course to show you how to start your business, but none of the courses out there are tailored to fit you. None of those courses can come close to having a real life mentor to walk by your side.

As well as starting my own thriving VA business, I also have 20 years of business admin experience, so I’ve seen and heard it all and learnt from it.

Let me show you how to start as you mean to go on without burning out or selling out.

FAQs

  • Oh, I know it may sound like a cop out but this depends on so many different things - your personality, your ideal client, your services and so much more!

When we speak, I’ll be able to give you a better idea, but know this - there is no one-size-fits-all strategy!

  • This is a delicate equation and you’ll need to do some research.

Remember to factor in sickness / holiday pay and pension contributions and other benefits you don’t get when you’re self-employed.

    Base your rate on:

    • your skills / experience

    • what are you offering

    • market rates

    • your own needs

  • Absolutely! It’s not as scary as it sounds - I promise!

  • Great question!

I don’t offer refunds based on the fact I am giving you my precious time and handy resources to help and support you.

I’m not unreasonable - if you don’t feel that I have met your expectations I will hear what you have to say and then decide about offering a refund.

I will just add that I cannot guarantee anything. I will mentor you, but you need to show up and do the work….your business won’t just happen because you hired me. (I’m good, but I’m not that good!)

  • Great question - thanks!

The majority of what I do is going to help no matter where in the world you are.

However, when it gets to the business admin nitty gritty of registering your business, setting up insurance and tax returns, I only have experience of UK requirements. That doesn’t mean I can’t help though, but it’s best for me to be transparent about that :)
