FAQs
Do I need to know Squarespace already?
No. I’ll guide you through it.
Will I definitely publish my website?
Yes! That is the aim and the structure of this course is designed around that outcome.
Do I need branding?
There is a workshop on brand identity in Module 3. From here, you can decide whether to DIY or hire a brand consultant. Your brand elements (logo, colours etc) can always be added to your website at a later date if you hire someone who cannot deliver during the course.
Do I need to already have a domain?
Ideally yes, but if you don’t have one yet, you can still enrol. We’ll cover how to purchase and connect a domain if you need support with that. You won’t be left guessing.
You can buy a domain directly in Squarespace (details on that here) but if you already have one you can transfer it or connect it - we’ll cover this in Module 7 (details on the transfer process here)
What if I can’t attend live?
Replays will be available.
How much time do I need to set aside each week?
Ideally you’ll attend live and follow the sessions so we’re building together. But, it’s likely that you’ll want a little extra time after each one to continue what you’ve learnt. I estimate you’ll need 2-4 hours a week, but you’ll be surprised how quickly time goes when you’re editing and refining.
What if the course isn’t for me — can I get a refund?
Yes. If you attend the early workshops and realise it isn’t right for you, you can request a refund within the first two modules. I want you to feel supported, not stuck.
Can I edit my website myself after the course is finished?
Yes.You’ll know exactly how to change text, swap images, add sections, update pricing, and make small changes as your business grows. You won’t need to rely on anyone else to make simple updates.
Do I need to choose my Squarespace plan before we start?
Yes. You’ll need to choose and activate your Squarespace plan before Module 1. This gives you access to the full Squarespace workspace so you can build properly from the start. Squarespace has a free trial, but it’s short, so choosing your plan before we begin prevents any interruption later and helps us move from “idea” into actual building straight away.
How much support will there be from the guest copywriter and brand specialist?
Both guest expert sessions are pre-recorded, so they won’t be offering 1:1 editing or full brand/copy rewrites (unless you choose to hire them), but they will offer examples, guidance and principles you can follow.
